Thanksgiving Decor – Kid’s Style

After the Food craft we completed earlier today, I decided to get the kids involved in the table decor. We started this yesterday using the ideas and patterns we found at spoonful.com. I printed out the patterns and then carefully cut them out and retaped the cutouts to use as a stencil. I then gave the stencil of the pilgrim boy and girl to my 10 year old. He traced several sets on construction paper. The 7 year old cut them out and we put them away.

This morning, we assembled the enormous eyed pilgrims. We are going to use these in our flowers on the table and lying around on the table as well.

We were happy with the outcome and the boys were so proud of their work.

I also had them make name cards for the table. These were simply done on folded cardstock that we cut with my paper cutter and we used stamp pads and our thumbs to make these cute Thumbprint Turkeys. After stamping the turkeys we drew on the wattle and the eyes and beak. I look forward to showcasing these cuties on our table tomorrow.
