30 Days of Praying for Our Kids – Patience

Patience -
Patience is a work in progress for most folks. Toddlers have almost no patience and when I found myself the mother of a toddler I began learning the importance of patience. I saw myself in the stamping feet and the pouting lips of my kids and I wondered how God must feel when He looks at my heart sometimes. I am not there yet, but I am asking God for patience when my kids continue to ask me for things they know that they can’t have or ask to do things that I have said will have to wait for another day, etc.

My Prayer Today

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this day. I ask for a special gift of patience to be bestowed on my children today. Help me to recognize and praise them when they demonstrate this quality. Help me remember moment by moment the importance of planting this seed of patience in my heart. I love You Lord. In Jesus name,

My inspiration for this series loosely comes from a prayer card published by Navpress and is available for purchase at this link. This would be a great bookmark for your Bible. I am in no way affiliated with NavPress. I also want to mention my friend Marcy at Ben and Me whom I am joining with for this challenge. She has some great resources available on her site as she is praying for her child’s head, shoulders, knees and toes.
