30 Days of Praying for Our Kids – Honesty

Honesty -

Teaching our kids to be transparent and truthful in everything they do. This is not easy. We have opportunities on a regular basis to tell little white lies, to chose not to go back in the grocery store to return that $0.99 item that we found rolling around in the bottom of the shopping cart, etc. In this culture, dishonesty is all around us and honesty is not celebrated. I want to change that trend with my kids! We can teach them honesty and pray for the cultivation of the fruits of the Spirit in their lives.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if this could be said of our kids,

2 Kings 12:15

They did not require an accounting from those to whom they gave the money to pay the workers, because they acted with complete honesty.

My Prayer Today

Lord, I ask for you to cultivate honesty in my kids. Help David and I live by example in this area.  Keep us in tune with the Holy Spirit and allow us to act honestly in all our business dealings, friendships, etc. I thank you for all you are going to do in my children’s lives.

In Jesus Name,

My inspiration for this series loosely comes from a prayer card published by Navpress and is available for purchase at this link. This would be a great bookmark for your Bible. I am in no way affiliated with NavPress. I also want to mention my friend Marcy at Ben and Me whom I am joining with for this challenge. She has some great resources available on her site as she is praying for her child’s head, shoulders, knees and toes.
