Last week was the week of the Schoolhouse Expo. Life happened around here and I was only able to attend one and a half sessions on the first day. My sister ended up being induced on Tuesday and had her first baby on Wednesday. As the nurse of the family, I have been lending a hand where needed. This is the beauty of an online conference. If I had been attending a live event, I would have just been out my money, but with the Expo, I will receive a link where I can listen to the conference audios after the fact. I hope some of you will plan to attend next year’s event and check out the website, Schoolhouse Expo. They periodically offer free webinars with live chat that you can attend. There are oftentimes really great giveaways. They highlight some of the top speakers from around the US.
I really enjoyed the session with Tyler Hogan. As a homeschool graduate myself, I identify with much of what he shares. He is a real encourager and you would be blessed to hear anything he has to say. I was also able to glean some great educational knowledge about how to teach struggling learners from Marie Rippel. I have been using her curriculum, All About Spelling with my middle child and I am impressed with the content.
