A Peek into My Plans for 2014

New Years

2014 is just around the corner. I usually take a little time over Christmas break to set some goals and evaluate the things that worked and didn’t work in the previous year. I was pretty ambitious with my goal setting this year and accomplished more than I would have if I had not set goals, but I think I need to be a little more realistic this year. Life happens and I tend to bite off more than I can chew. I will be sharing with you more about my word for the year in the next couple of days, but lets just say that I am planning to set goals this year, but I want to make them more attainable and realistic.

Here is my goal list from 2013 with a red stripe through the ones that I accomplished:

And now for this year……..

This year my goals are short and sweet –

  • Break them down into monthly goals that are attainable
  • Post them in a visible place
  • Blog about my goals monthly for accountability
  • Pray about my ideas and seek God’s direction for my plans

As this list develops, I will share more with you. I have been enjoying some time away from the computer lately making memories with my family lately and haven’t completely thought out my list. I plan to share a booklist, a music list and some new regular features on the blog with you in January so stay tuned…….

My 2014 goals are similar in that I finally recognized that what has kept me from achieving my goals in the past was that they were too vague, without a definite plan (with achievable steps) for getting there. I’m slowly working on a workable plan.

Thank you for sharing and have a great New Year!
