I was looking for a way to help my hubby stay on Plan with his recent adherence to the Trim Healthy Mama plan. He LOVES rice, but before THM, his idea of a good rice dish was white rice straight from a box with loads of flavorings and additives. This was my way of trying to meet this craving in a more healthy way. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed it.
Course: Side Dishes
- 1 cup brown rice
- 1/4 cup Bragg’s Liquid Aminos
- 1.5 TBSP dried minced onion
- 4 oz fresh mushrooms
- 3 cups boiling water
- Spray 9×13 pan with cooking spray and place all ingredients except water in dish. Pour boiling water over the ingredients. Stir to mix. Place in 375 degree preheated oven for one hour. Serve warm.
